Finish The Promise: September 10

There’s power in coming together. Each September on the Sunday after Labor Day, First Universalist Church comes together through the ritual of Water Communion. Our waters—gathered from near and far, places both humble and exotic—come together and mingle as a metaphor for congregational reconnection after summer. 

This Sunday, we will also celebrate the exciting possibilities that emerge when we come together on a shared goal. “Finish the Promise”, our shared effort to pay off First Universalist’s debt, is also a story of gifts from near and far, contributions that range from humble to stratospheric, each essential to the journey. We’ve been quietly gathering gifts over the summer, and now we have news to share. It’s just one more reason you’ll want to be in church.  See you on Sunday—in person at 10 a.m. and livestreaming!
