Concert Series at First U

Pianistico: An Art Song Exploration
Dear First Universalist,
I’m delighted to share a beautiful concert series coming to First Universalist this summer and fall, collectively entitled Pianistico: An Art Song Exploration. Presented by Twin Cities-based pianist Jared Mikach, these four recitals will feature some of the Twin Cities’ finest vocal artists in performances of a wide range of music, with a special emphasis on music from Latin America, South America, and the Iberian Peninsula. Each program partners with a distinct benefit organization and is crafted to reflect the organization’s work, mission, and values.
Beyond the musical brilliance Jared brings, I am excited about how closely this concert series reflects the values of First Universalist: grounded in sincere passion, collaboration, and a spirit of generosity and community. Extending a home to artistic events like this is exactly the work First U can and should be doing.
The first concert will take place Friday, June 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary, with additional performances continuing throughout the summer and fall (see schedule below). I hope you’ll join me in welcoming Jared and these remarkable performers with open ears, open hearts, and the spirit of community that makes First Universalist so special.
Tickets available here; updates and more info at mikach.net.
All the best,
Paolo
