This March at church: Truth, power, and repair

A message from Rev. Jen Crow, Senior Minister

This month we’ll explore the interconnection of three key concepts: truth, power, and repair.

  • What relationship does truth have to power, power to repair, and repair to truth?
  • How might these concepts and experiences take shape in our lives and communities in ways that move us toward experiences of beloved community and mutual thriving?
  • What if truth, power, and repair are all forms of liberation?
  • What does repair mean in the context of a Universalism grounded in an ideal of love so inclusive and transformative that it will not let us go, will not let us down, and will not let us off the hook?

These are a few of the questions we’ll wrestle with together this month as we seek to dwell together in peace, speak the truth in love, and help one another.

This Sunday, March 1: As we begin our exploration of this month’s worship theme: Truth, Power, and Repair we’ll look to the intersection of these three powerful concepts. We’ll introduce a shared spiritual practice to ground us throughout the month, keeping an eye out for the repair aka grace/healing/restoration/joy that is happening even within these days. We’ll remember our shared power and creativity, trusting that together when we share what we have we can all have what we need.
