Strike Camp at First U
Offered free of charge for children impacted by the upcoming Minneapolis Federation of Educators strike
Register here for our First Universalist 2025 Strike Camp. Strike Camp is offered free of charge for children impacted by the upcoming Minneapolis Federation of Educators strike.
Strike Camp will run from 1-4 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays during the strike, beginning on the anticipated strike start date of Tuesday, Nov. 11 and continuing until communicated otherwise. Activities at camp include arts and crafts, big body movement, quiet play and reading, and more.
Strike Camp is drop-in, meaning you can drop-off or pick-up your child/ren anytime between 1-4 p.m., but no earlier than 1 p.m. and no later than 4 p.m.
Strike Camp is open to Kindergartners through 6th graders.
The Strike Camp is offered free of charge. Each family has the opportunity to make a donation on the Registration Form if they so choose. Or, anyone can give using the button below—Select “Give to Strike Camp” in the dropdown menu:
In order to make Strike Camp possible, we need at least one adult volunteer present from 12:30-4:30 p.m. each day of Strike Camp in addition to paid staff. Please indicate on the form below whether you are able to volunteer to make Strike Camp possible.
Our capacity to provide Strike Camp is dependent on ongoing staff, volunteer, and youth counselor capacity. At this time we are offering Strike Camp on a first-come, first-serve basis. Our capacity to provide Strike Camp may shift. Any shifts in capacity of Strike Camp will be communicated to registered families in a timely fashion.
