March 23: Church on The Edge

sermons | 9:00am & 11:00am

Sunday Worship at First U Two services: 9 and 11 a.m., livestreaming at 11 March 2025: Presence and Care

We gather this Sunday to explore what it means to stand at the edge—not as a place of hesitation, but as a space of readiness. The edge holds uncertainty, but it also holds movement, calling us to step forward with steadiness. Through breath, ritual, and song, we practice resilience—not by removing fear, but by cultivating trust in what we have prepared for. Howard Thurman speaks of an island of peace within, a grounding presence that allows us to move with clarity rather than resistance. This service invites us to embody that wisdom, using silence as steadiness, music as practice, and breath as a reminder that we are not alone in this moment. The journey ahead will bring questions and new beginnings, but today, we gather at the threshold—ready to move.
