NEW: Building Hosts Team!

News –

A message from Rev. Jen Crow, Senior Minister

Our building is a resource for so many communities—from our congregation and our neighborhood to the larger city and national gatherings. Over the last several months, our building is being used more than ever as a trusted gathering place for trainings, mutual aid, and community care. We know that we can keep each other safer, whether that is out in the streets, in our neighborhoods and schools, or here at church. We are creating a team of Building Hosts, church members who can offer a welcoming presence and be a first point of contact to support group leaders and church staff should any urgent situations arise. You’ll start to see Building Hosts at our larger and more open church events (like Community Dinner, Daytime Connections, etc.) and they will be greeting folks as they arrive and asking everyone to share what gathering brings them to the building. Please know that you can turn to them with questions and support if you need help with anything from finding the nearest restroom to responding to ICE in the neighborhood or at the door. This is a new and growing team—and an important way to help support the ongoing Sanctuary and Resistance ministries of the church. Want to learn more, join a training, and be a part of the team?
