First U Foundation Grant Recipient in the News

The New York Times ran a piece on May 20, 2025, “Minnesota teens are fighting climate anxiety with shovels,” featuring The Green Crew, which is part of the Minnesota Valley Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America—a recipient of a $10,000 grant from the First Universalist Foundation this year. We’re so proud of the work these youth are doing in our community, and grateful and humbled to be able to support them. Thank you to our First U Foundation Board for their faithful work that provides financial support to organizations doing incredibly meaningful and needed work around the region.
