Become a Church Leader!
News –
The Nominating Committee is now recruiting candidates for positions on the Foundation Board and the Nominating Committee. We invite and encourage members to nominate themselves to serve in this fulfilling work. Positions usually are for a three-year term, but sometimes for a one- or two-year term. Below are brief descriptions of the opportunities:
Director on the First Universalist Foundation Board: Board directors serve as stewards of the very substantial Foundation endowment. They solicit grant applications, review applications, and select grantees to be awarded the funding that can make such a difference in the real world. A fuller description of the position can be found here.
Member of the Nominations Committee: Members of the Nominating Committee work from January to April to interview current board members, determine upcoming vacancies, and recruit candidates to fill them. A fuller description of the position can be found here.
Requirements: You must be a member in good standing of the church. Please consider either nominating yourself or encouraging a fellow church member to apply for this important role.
Applications are due by Sunday, March 8, and the application can be filled out here. All applications will be reviewed by the Nominating Committee and followed up by interviews. Elections will occur at the Annual Meeting in June.
If you have questions or would like more information, please contact Ray Dillon, the Nominating Committee chair, at dillonrueter [at] usinternet.com, or contact any of the members of the Nominating Committee: David Bach, Evelyn Browne, Sandy Culpepper, Katie Fox, and Chad Johnson.
