Seeking Delegates for General Assembly!
News –
The Unitarian Universalist Association’s General Assembly, or “GA” as it is known, is an annual gathering of delegates from member UU congregations for several days of conducting UUA business, worship, inspiring speakers, and networking with fellow UUs from around the country. It’s a great way to get more connected to the larger UU movement, and to participate in the governance of our denomination.
GA 2026 is being held virtually June 14-16 and 19-21. The first 3 days constitute the business portion of the meeting, and the latter part includes worship, presentations, and small group breakout sessions.
Based on our membership, First Universalist can have up to 20 delegates attend GA. Delegates are appointed by the Board of Trustees. There is no special expertise required, but delegates must be church members. There is a registration fee to attend the full week of programming, but delegates can register for just the virtual business meeting (June 14-16) free of charge.
If you are interested in being appointed as a delegate, please email Marc Gorelick at boardchair@firstuniv.org. If you want to know more about GA or being a delegate, you can visit the UUA GA 2026 Website, or contact church member Ralph Wyman at rwmuusja@gmail.com.
