Gathering for Black, Indigenous, and/or people of color
News –
First Universalist members and friends who identify as Black, Indigenous, and/or people of color (BIPOC) are invited to a dinner and gathering on Wednesday, November 19th at 6-8pm in the Cummins Room.
This is a gathering and a homecoming, the start of a circle of joy, support, and possibility. Come eat food together, get to know each other, and be in sacred BIPOC Unitarian Universalist community. Dinner will be provided, followed by lightly facilitated conversation. At this gathering we also hope to decide when and how to gather more regularly.
Please note that this is a closed gathering for BIPOC adults, including multiracial people. We are not able to welcome BIPOC children or youth at this time, but hope to in the future.
This is not an event for white people, including white people who have BIPOC family members. If you are not sure whether this is an appropriate gathering for you to attend, please contact Nico (nico [at] firstuniv.org) to talk more.
