Building Hope Together: Join Us for First U Habitat Volunteer Events in 2025–2026

News –

As the Habitat for Humanity coordinator for First Universalist, I’m excited to share our upcoming plans for the year ahead and invite you to join us in making a real impact in 2026. Whether you can swing a hammer, prepare lunch for volunteers, advocate for policy change with our state legislature, or support our program financially—there’s a role for everyone in this work of building homes and hope.

Our congregation has already shown amazing dedication to The Heights—more than 60 of us have volunteered on-site and we’ve contributed financially to move this ambitious project forward. The Heights is not just another housing development; it’s a community designed with environmentally sustainable building practices, affordable housing opportunities, and space for families to grow and thrive. This fall, we’ll continue the work we have started. Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 8—our next volunteer build date at The Heights. Whether you’re a seasoned builder or brand new to Habitat, all skill levels are welcome. Every hour you contribute helps create safe, stable homes for families in our community.

Date: Saturday, November 08
Time: 8:30am to 3:30pm.
Location: 1461 McKnight Rd N, Maplewood, MN
