sermons | 9:00am & 11:00am

Sunday Worship - May 2025 May 5 & May 11 | Two Services: In person at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Livestreaming at 11 a.m. May 18 & May 25 | One Service: Summer schedule In person and livestreaming at 10 a.m.

NOTE: Beginning next week, May 18, we will be moving to our summer worship schedule—one service at 10 a.m. ONLY, in person and livestreaming.

In this month when we explore the theme of working toward justice, individually and collectively, we pause this Sunday to consider the ways of change in relationships and in community. In her book, Parable of the Sower, Octavia E. Butler writes: “All that you touch You Change. All that you Change Changes you. The only lasting truth Is Change.” Join us as Rev. Arif shares a final message with us, and the congregation releases him from his call to ministry here, and blesses him on his way—trusting that we are forever changed by each other.

Come Celebrate, Say Goodbye, and Thank You to Rev. Arif—or as the staff have been saying in typical bad pun form—come say “Arif-aderci”

This Sunday, we’ll celebrate the gifts of Rev. Arif’s ministry with us, and we’ll continue the process of saying thank you, and goodbye. Join us in worship on Sunday at 9 and 11am as Rev. Arif shares a final message with us. We’ll have cake and gluten-free and vegan treats in the social hall after each service, and you can bring or write a note of thanks and blessing to share with Rev. Arif there. On Wednesday, we’ll celebrate Rev. Arif and his ministry at a special Community Dinner—with a special menu and treats—and another opportunity to bring or write a note of thanks and blessing. Wednesday, May 14th is Rev. Arif’s last day of ministry with us. Let’s bring all of our feelings, and the spirit of love, hope, and gratitude to this important day.
