Married to Amazement
Hidden in the folds of life are secrets about death. Hidden in the throes of death and loss are secrets about life. In this choir-led service of music and poetic meditations, we explore moments of grace, deep connection, and transformation, as we pay attention and live into the great invitation: to be “a bride married to amazement and a bridegroom who takes the world into his arms (Mary Oliver).”
The First Universalist Choir and Orchestra will perform Gabriel Fauré’s “Requiem.” Between the seven movements, there will be hymns, readings and meditations.
