Daytime Connections: The Conscious Aging Movement: Sage-ing

In 1992, when the Omega Institute held a conference entitled “Conscious Aging,” 1,500 people from around the country attended. This movement has been slowly growing, but recently it has taken off due to the growth of the nonprofit Sage-ing International. One of the movement’s founders, Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi, proposed “a new model of late-life development called sage-ing, a process that enables older people to become spiritually radiant, physically vital, and socially responsible ‘elders of the tribe.’” Join us to explore what sage-ing is all about.
