Youth Sunday (in person & online at 10 a.m.)

May 21, 2023
First Universalist Church Youth, Rev. Arif Mamdani, Rev. Jen Crow

Summer Sundays begin this Sunday, with a single worship service—in-person and online—at 10 a.m.

In our annual beloved Youth Sunday worship, our senior high youth offer a story, music, and reflections on our worship theme of “Carry the Flame.” The service includes a Bridging Ritual to honor our graduating seniors, marking the end of their time as First Universalist youth and welcoming them into young adulthood in our church. Youth Sunday is a moving expression of our vibrant multigenerational religious community that you won’t want to miss.

ORDER OF SERVICE: available as a google doc and on this page (screen reader & mobile friendly version) by Friday.

OFFERING: Give via our online giving portal, or CashApp. Make sure to designate that it’s for the “Offering Plate” fund.

Join us in person or online at 10 a.m.

We gather for a single service at 10 a.m. on summer Sundays. Watch the livestream on Zoom or YouTube Live. The recording is available for on-demand streaming on our YouTube channel immediately after the service ends.

Masks are welcome but not required in the sanctuary. Read our COVID policies for gathering. Find information about childcare and Sunday morning options for children and youth here.

A Place to Start – in person, immediately after the service
Facilitated by one of our members, A Place to Start is a brief, casual orientation to Unitarian Universalism and First Universalist Church. During this 40-minute class, participants will learn about the foundations of our faith tradition and opportunities to get involved. The facilitator will be holding a green “Here is A Place to Start” sign at the front of the sanctuary after the worship services. We look forward to welcoming you! If you attend, please fill out the Visitor Connect form so we can follow up with you. Thank you!
