Exciting changes are on the horizon!

In early spring, Rev. Ruth gathered a group of five designers and artists representing different segments of our church membership: SPIFF, Visual Arts, and Choir. This group called, the Chancel Team, assembled to address some of the concerns voiced by different church constituencies. The paint is peeling off here and there on the chancel and the green color of the chancel seems to swallow up floral designs instead of providing a welcoming palette on which Visual Arts members can create. After many creative and substantive meetings, the Chancel Team arrived at a new color scheme for our chancel. Lovingly funded by the AUW (Association of Universalist Women), the painting will take place during the two weeks on either side of our worship at Lake Harriet. The team is excited by the new colors, and the opportunities it will open up for creating stunning visuals in our worship.
