Immigration Court Observer Volunteer Info Session will be held at Chancel Room
Immigration Court Observer Volunteer Info Session
Join us between services (10:30-11:15 a.m.) on Sunday, Sept. 9, to learn about the Immigration Court Observer program run by the Advocates for Human Rights as described in The Weekly Liberal on July 5. Join others from First Universalist and Isaiah faith communities to ensure that basic human rights are accorded to detainees picked up by ICE, and provide deep insights into the headlines that surround us. The volunteer opportunity dates are flexible, with each court session 1.5 hours long. No legal or immigration experience is required. It is an opportunity to address the injustices facing immigrant communities today. We will meet in the Chancel Room after the end of the 9:30 a.m. service to share information and answer questions.
