Gathering in Gratitude: Socially Distanced, Spiritually Connected
Please join us for an opportunity to stop by the church in person as we celebrate our collective generosity and the wrap-up of this year’s annual giving campaign! Normally, we enjoy dinner and social time together to celebrate the generosity that sustains the work of our church, as you the congregation make your gifts/financial commitments for the year ahead. This year due to the pandemic, we cannot safely gather as we normally do; but we wanted to provide a modified opportunity to gather at this important time to show our appreciation and offer the gift of our presence to each other.
On Sunday, April 18, you’re invited to walk/roll/drive through the church parking lot any time between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Ministers, staff, and your annual giving team (Liz Short, Peter Kimball, and Dave Bach) will be stationed outside in the church parking lot, in a receiving line to offer our gratitude, a small gift of appreciation, and our (physically distanced) presence and a chance to see each other and chat.
Please wear a mask and observe physical/social distancing. Parking is available on the street and in the south half of the parking lot. The half of the parking lot closer to the church building will be reserved for walking/rolling/driving through. We’ll be asking folks to line up along the sidewalk with six feet between households as they wait their turn to walk/roll through. If you feel more comfortable driving through, you may do so as well. Watch for signs directing traffic at the parking lot entrances along Dupont.
Please make your annual gift and then join us on April 18 if you’re in the Twin Cities. We cannot wait to see you!
