First Universalist’s members and friends were invited to help shape the church’s future by participating in Capital Campaign Focus Group presentations and conversations held between October 9 and 30, 2016. More than 250 people attended one or more sessions and provided questionnaire and oral feedback. Following are selected PowerPoint slides from the Focus Group presentations. A 5-year Strategic Plan was created in 2012 which became the basis for a vision articulating ideas for making 3400 Dupont a home for enhancing the church’s ministry. Working together – congregants, Board of Trustees, staff and ministers – evaluated potential solutions for each of the four initiatives.
The preliminary plans and cost estimates that were presented generated positive feedback which has been shared with the Pre-Design Team for further refinement. Our estimated needs are $6.4 million. The goal of this campaign is to meet with every single member of the church, and invite them to support the campaign, mission, and vision of the church.
