Housing Advocacy in St. Paul on April 8
Our Faith in Action: Housing Advocacy in St. Paul
Make a Difference Tuesday April 8
Support First Universalist Faith In Action and HTLB fundraising success by advocating for affordable housing with the Minnesota State Legislature. Housing is a critical need in Minnesota. The Homes for All Bonding Bill would channel $100 million into affordable housing across the state. More than 600,000 households in Minnesota pay more than 30% of their income for housing, and more than 14,000 Minnesotans are homeless on a given day. There are 3-4 times as many applications for affordable housing as there are housing units available.
What is it? Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity’s Annual “Habitat on the Hill MN-2014”. Speak with your MN State Representative and Senator about supporting the $100 million Affordable Housing Bonding Bill. This is a joint effort with the Homes for All Coalition.
How can you help? Join others from First Universalist and Habitat for Humanity. No experience necessary; you will be trained that morning. Share your belief in the importance of affordable housing.
