Join us for worship at the Lake Harriet Bandshell this Sunday, Aug. 14 at 10 a.m. The service will be followed by a potluck picnic. More details are available here.

Rev. Ruth MacKenzie will be preaching; her sermon is titled: “Why Church?”

Church is more than a community. Church is community that submits itself to right relationship. This is why we stand on street corners with Black Lives Matter, or take the time to listen and discern where Love is calling us next. We gather together to remind ourselves of patterns that heal and make us whole. We worship. We endeavor to keep compassion at the center of our living and dying. So in this time of unrest and challenge, we need church—authentic church.

Please note: there will be no worship service at 3400 Dupont – our Lake Harriet Bandshell service is our only service on Sunday, Aug. 14.
