“In the Universalist spirit of love and hope, we give, receive and grow.”
One of the ways that we are called to grow is in our generosity. If our life-long spiritual quest is to align our actions with our values, then paying attention to where and how we give can certainly help us on our way. Generosity is a spiritual practice that helps us move from scarcity to abundance, from isolation to community.
Pledging is how we sustain the work of the church on an annual basis. Every year, we pledge together to care for our church and its programs and renew our commitment to First Universalist and the work we do outside our church. Your financial gift is crucial to our success as a religious community.
Our Pledge Drives are conducted annually beginning in February and aim to meet their set goal by spring so that we can put together the budget for the coming fiscal year, which gets approved at the Annual Meeting in early June. If you are new to First Universalist and don’t want to wait until next year’s drive to pledge, you are most welcome to pledge now!
