Daytime Connections: Community-Led Initiatives Transforming North Minneapolis
Amazing community groups abound in North Minneapolis. How can we be in solidarity with their work?
On a charter bus tour though the Northside, led by Mike Wynne, CEO and president of EMERGE (a First U Faithful Action partner), we’ll learn about vibrant community groups in North Minneapolis who are building a more just, inclusive City.
Our visit ends with a lunch from Breaking Bread Café, a North Minneapolis nonprofit that’s leading the way to engage youth in a food justice movement. Mike will lead us in a discussion to consider how WE can support their community work.
Co-sponsored with the Faithful Action Council.
We’ll board the handicap-accessible bus at First Universalist at 10 a.m. and return to church at 1:30 p.m.
Limited seating! Register now ($20) with Sandy DiNanni at Sandy@firstuniv.org or 612-825-1701. Transportation and financial support are available.
Through Daytime Connections, older adults empower each other to live intentional, joyful, purposeful, and spiritually fulfilled lives.
