15 NOW MN Faithful Action Advocacy Opportunity
Learn about the $15 minimum wage campaign in Minneapolis at First Universalist on Sunday, Feb. 28. The movement for a $15 minimum wage is sweeping cities across the country. After victories in Seattle, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York and San Francisco, it’s time to add the Twin Cities to the list. With 82% support among likely voters for $15 in Minneapolis, 15Now will be leading a ballot campaign this spring to win a $15 wage this November. Passing a $15/hour minimum wage in Minneapolis would raise the wages of 113,500 low wage workers, especially impacting communities of color in Minneapolis suffering under the worst wealth inequities in the nation.
Join First Universalist Faithful Action Advocacy and 15Now Minnesota on Sunday, Feb. 28 for some empowering conversation and action planning around improving livable wages for Minneapolis workers. The event will take place on February 28 after the second service from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. in the Chalice Room. We hope to see you there!
