Last spring Paul Robinson, Treasurer of our Board of Trustees, contacted the Visual Arts Committee to see if we would be willing to organize a church fundraiser. We said yes and named the event ART 4 U. Initially, the plan was to contact only church artists, but we realized that we should also invite talented fiber artists and authors to be involved. So far over 50 people from our church have agreed to donate something for the sale.
The kick off for ART 4 U sales begins Sunday, March 30. Sales will take place in the social hall after both services. Artists, Fiber Artists, and Authors will be recognized that day and wear special name badges. Everyone in the congregation is invited to attend the event and to select something they would like to purchase. It’s first come, first serve…so arrive early for the best selection. Additional sales of items which remain will be held on Sundays April 6 and April 13.
Visual Arts Members feel that this is not only a fundraising opportunity for the church, but also a way to recognize talented people from our congregation. ART 4 U will be GOOD 4 U and GOOD 4 our Congregation.
