First Universalist’s Young Adults gather to nurture their spirits, enjoy good company, and have fun! They range in age from early 20s to mid-30s. Here is how you can get involved:
Join a Circle or Soul Matters Group
Community Circles are groups of 8-10 committed participants who come together with a trained leader to nurture spiritual growth in community. These groups are grounded in the spiritual practices of deep listening and open-hearted reflection. In fall 2016, Community Circles run for six sessions and meet on the weeks that begin on these Sundays: Oct. 9, Oct. 16, Oct. 30, Nov. 13, Nov. 27, and Dec. 4, 2016. The Young Adults Circle meets Tuesdays 7–8:30 p.m., and is led by Liz Erickson and Martha Scott Johnson.
Individuals in Soul Matters reflect on our monthly worship themes though taking on a particular spiritual exercise and contemplating a deep question each month. They meet with their Soul Matters group meet once a month to reflect on their experiences of bringing the worship theme more deeply into their lives. Groups run from October 2016 through May 2017. The Young Adults group meets Fourth Wednesdays 6:30–8:30 p.m. (date exceptions: group will meet 11/16 & 12/14) and is led by Richard Lopez.
